Carolina Allspice Hartlage Wine
A handsome, summer-flowering cultivar of an interspecies hybrid, Calycanthus x raulstonii Hartlage Wine is a medium-sized, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub, with upright to arching branches and a dense, shrubby habit. Broad, glossy, aromatic, mid-green leaves, in pairs along the branches, turn golden-yellow in autumn. Deep wine-coloured, Lightly scented, semi-double flowers, wine-coloured with a cream eye, are produced from early to late summer and often into autumn. Carolina Allspice Hartlage Wine holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
