Snowdrop Tree
Also known as Silver Bell, Halesia carolina is a small, fast-growing, deciduous tree with an open, rounded crown. It gets its common name of snowdrop tree from the clusters of white, dangling, bell-shaped flowers borne between March and May. These appear with the light green, oval leaves, which turn yellow in autumn. The flowers are followed by light green, four-winged fruits, which persist on the tree well into winter. Requires very little pruning.
