Weeping Yoshino Cherry
A weeping form of the hybrid Yoshino cherry, Prunus x yedoensis ‘Shidare-yoshino’ is a medium-sized tree whose branches arch right down to the ground. In early spring it produces masses of large, single, almond-scented flowers, pale pink fading to white, in racemes along the bare branches. The green leaves emerge after the blossom, and show shades of yellow and gold in autumn. The Weeping Yoshino Cherry’s striking habit and beautiful blossom show particularly well against a dark evergreen background. Height depends on where it is grafted.
