Rose Mrs Anthony Waterer – Rugosa Rose

An old, repeat-flowering rugosa rose, Rosa Mrs Anthony Waterer is a medium-sized, vigorous, deciduous shrub rose with a dense, shapely, leafy habit, and very prickly stems. The abundant leaves are very deeply veined, and shiny deep green. In midsummer, the shrub bears masses of scented, semi-double, rich crimson flowers with a lovely, strong rich scent. The flowers repeat less profusely as the summer continues. Rose Mrs Anthony Waterer may need spraying to keep it healthy, so give it the best conditions you can. Can be grown as a hedge.
